Canada Marks First Internet Election in North America

"Security remains a primary concern," said Miriam Gennaro, an Elections Canada spokesperson.
The agency is reviewing e-voting practices around the world but for now, most voters see "a potential for fraud. The risk is just too great right now to facilitate e-voting at this time."
The idea of allowing electronic voter registration via the Internet was also been cast aside.
"The technology remains largely untested," Gennaro said.
So for Canadians, this election will be a lot like previous ones.
